PUTRAJAYA, Feb 10 (Bernama) – Tajikistan welcomes more tourists to visits the country, promises an abundant tourism potential that are waiting to be explored with multiple unique natural parks, beautiful mountain landscapes and springs.
Tajikistan Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin said, the country is known for its rugged mountains, popular for hiking and climbing as well as numerous historical and cultural sites in our country, which are included into the UNESCO World Heritage List.
“The revival of international tourism on the Silk Road, that is the shortest route from East Asia to Europe, may become one of the most important areas of cooperation between the tourism authorities of our countries.
He also noted that establishment of close cooperation between the Tajik and Malaysian travel agencies, and arrangement of focused fora will also facilitate cooperation and increase the tourism potential of both countries.
To make it success, Sirojiddin also said there will be more serious discussion between institutions of both parties regarding establishment for direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Dushanbe in near future.
Meanwhile, arrangement of cultural weeks, exhibitions, film screenings and other cultural activities would have a stunning influence in tourism cooperation, Sirojiddin added.
“Our tourism authority issued an official invitation to Minister of tourism and culture of Malaysia and we will look forward to hosting this year, with a grand cultural program that will certainly stimulate activities in tourism sector,” he said.
