On November 9, 2020 held a virtual meeting of the Chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Zokirzoda Mahmadtoir Zoir with the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat of Malaysia H.E. Mr. Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, trade and economic cooperation, political dialogue and other important issues between the two friendly countries.

At the same time, information about the establishment of the inter-parliamentary friendship group from the Tajik side was highlighted, and the hope was expressed that the first meeting of the Tajik-Malaysian inter-parliamentary friendship group will be held in the near future with the creation of the inter-parliamentary friendship group from the Malaysian side.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic Tajikistan has invited H.E. Mr. Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun to pay an official visit to Tajikistan, and the Malaysian side accepted the invitation.
