On June 23, 2020 a video-conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization Petteri Taalas was held.

During the conversation, Mr. Peteri Taalas presented a detailed information about the Water and Climate Coalition for Sustainable Development Goal 6. Minister of Foreign Affairs, while presenting information on the efforts and initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of water and climate at various levels, expressed his views on effects of climate change and the need to protect glaciers, as well as strengthening cooperation in the framework of the Dushanbe Water Process.
