President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Receives Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Atamkulov

DUSHANBE, 18.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the seventh Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Central Asia Plus Japan Dialogue in the city residence of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Matters relating to the Tajikistani – Kazakhstani cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

President Emomali Rahmon highlighted Tajikistan’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan.

“We are interested in the development and expansion of our relationship with Kazakhstan and today’s meeting within the Dialogue is another opportunity for discussing the new directions of cooperation,” he said.

The two sides also discussed cooperation in the economic, trade, agricultural, industrial scientific and educational fields.

While going over the issues related to security and global problems within the framework of regional and international organizations such as the UN and the SCO, the two sides exchanged their views on the possible solutions.
