On January 21, 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Malaysia His Excellency Ardasher Qodiri has met with His Excellency Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Bin Mazlan, Undersecretary South and Central Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for further expansion and deepening of Tajik-Malaysian relations in the political, economic, and cultural spheres. It was noted that high-level visits play a key role in raising relations between the two countries and the parties should take new steps to implement them after the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the parties also discussed events related to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Malaysia and expressed their intention to hold a conference or round table on the occasion of this historic date in order to summarize the results of cooperation over the past thirty years and form a new vision for the further development of relations.
Both parties expressed their willingness to develop cooperation for mutual benefit and stressed the importance of joint efforts for strengthening collaboration in the future.
