On 18 June 2026, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, which reads as follows:

With great respect I extend my heartfelt congratulations to You and the noble people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the achievement of a peace agreement with the United States of America.

We understand that reaching this important agreement was not an easy task for the Iranian nation and is the result of considerable efforts and strong determination. I am confident that the understandings reached in this regard will be of key importance for ensuring lasting and inclusive peace in the Middle East, strengthening the international security system, and creating favourable conditions for sustainable economic and social development.

The Republic of Tajikistan, as a peace-loving country and a supporter of resolving all disputes and conflicts through negotiations and diplomatic dialogue, welcomes this significant development.
