On 5 February 2025, H.E. Ardasher Qodiri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Malaysia, held a meeting with Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Mohd Azmi Omar, President and Chief Executive Officer of INCEIF University.

The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration in the field of Islamic finance and banking education, with an emphasis on knowledge exchange, academic partnerships, and research initiatives. Both sides also explored opportunities for capacity building in Tajikistan, particularly in enhancing expertise in Islamic banking, developing specialized training programs for financial professionals, and fostering institutional frameworks to support the financial sector’s growth. Additionally, they discussed technical assistance for the modernization of financial institutions, including the integration of digital financial solutions to improve accessibility and efficiency in Tajikistan’s banking sector. Additionally, they discussed potential investment opportunities in Tajikistan, particularly in the mining, industry, trade and financial sectors, highlighting the country’s commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment.
