On 16 February 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Malaysia held a media briefing dedicated to the upcoming 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018–2028), scheduled to take place in Dushanbe from 25–28 May 2026.

Representatives of major Malaysian media outlets attended the briefing and received detailed information on the forthcoming event. During the session, Embassy representatives delivered presentations introducing Tajikistan, outlining the country’s global initiatives in water diplomacy and climate change, and providing an overview of the planned high-level conference.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan personally conducted an extended Q&A session, responding to questions from journalists on Tajikistan, Central Asia, and the Dushanbe Water Process. The briefing generated tangible media interest, resulting in coverage and analytical pieces on Tajikistan and prompting further engagement from outlets seeking deeper insight into the country and its international initiatives.
