On March 3, 2024, the Embassy organized a football tournament among Tajikistan citizens residing in Malaysia, dedicated to Navruz 2024. Since most of the citizens of Tajikistan in Malaysia are young students, the tournament saw the eager participation of a significant number of Tajikistan citizens. The tournament brought the citizens together, strengthening their sense of unity and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
On March 20, 2024, the Embassy organized a celebratory iftar dedicated to Navruz 2024. This event garnered the participation of the members of the Spouses of the Heads of Missions (SOHOM) club, as well as other prominent guests from the upper echelon of Malaysian society. The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Malaysia, H.E. Ardasher Qodiri, delivered a welcoming speech and thanked the guests for participating in the event, wishing them an enlightening evening. The participants were enlightened about the history, traditions, and meaning of Navruz. A traditional “haftsin” table was set along with a Tajik “dastarkhon” filled with Tajik national foods. Since this year Navruz aligned with Ramadan, the guests were also informed about Tajik traditions during Ramadan.
On March 22, 2024, the Embassy organized a feast dedicated to Navruz for the citizens of Tajikistan residing in Malaysia. During the feast, the cultural and entertainment program reminded participants of the historical roots and significance of Navruz to our nation. The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Malaysia, H.E. Ardasher Qodiri, delivered a speech welcoming the citizens and congratulating them on the occasion of Navruz 2024. Then, the winners of the football tournament dedicated to Navruz 2024 were presented with trophies and certificates of achievement by the Ambassador. On the same day, with the support of the Embassy, a celebratory Navruz dinner was organized for the students of Albukhary International University, located in Kedah, north of Malaysia.
