On 10th of January 2021, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Mr. Joko Widodo.

The telegram reads in particular:

“Your Excellency Mr. President,

We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the crash of the passenger aircraft of the air company of Indonesia that caused numerous innocent deaths.

In connection with the tragic consequences, I express my deep condolences and sympathy to You, Your Excellency and to the friendly people of Indonesia, and my sincere compassion to the relatives of the deceased.”
