On 3 December 2024, at the Top Asia Corporate Ball 2024, Tajikistan was awarded with the prestigious Asia’s Best Nation for Natural Scenery Tourism Award. The accolade highlights Tajikistan’s breathtaking landscapes, including the Pamir and Fann Mountains, alpine lakes like Iskandarkul and Karakul, and its pristine wilderness. The tourism community of Malaysia highlighted Tajikistan’s commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental preservation has positioned it as a premier destination for eco-conscious travellers.
The award was presented to H.E. Ardasher Qodiri, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Malaysia. The Top 10 of Asia magazine, one of the most prestigious media outlets in Southeast Asia, conducted extensive research, gathering insights from travellers and tourism professionals and came to this conclusion. This recognition underscores Tajikistan’s growing appeal as a top scenic destination and its efforts to share its natural and cultural heritage with the world.
