On May 9, 2022, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Malaysia H.E. Ardasher Qodiri has met with the Chief Executive Officer of National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia (FINAS), Professor Dr Md. Nasir Ibrohim.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cultural cooperation between the two countries and considered it important to develop contacts between people through the presentation of cultures. As a first step in this direction, the parties expressed their willingness to hold a week of cinema in each other’s countries. At the same time, the parties discussed the existence of a legal framework for bilateral cooperation between FINAS and the relevant authorities of Tajikistan.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere which creates new impetus for strengthening collaboration in the future.
