On April 13, 2021, for the purpose of enhancing cooperation between Tajikistan and Malaysian Universities, the Embassy of Tajikistan in Malaysia initiated an online meeting between the senior management of Kulob State University and the University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY).

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the possible ways of cooperation and agreed on strengthening collaboration on student and staff exchange programs and issues of mutual interest.

The parties expressed their willingness to organize joint events and projects for benefit of the students.
