On November 12, 2019 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Malaysia H.E. Ardasher Qodiri has met with the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation Dato’ Wan Latiff Wan Musa.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the important issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Malaysia in the field of economy and investment. It was noted that Tajikistan has a favorable investment climate and great trade potential with the Central Asian region, and both sides should consider the possibility of cooperation in the areas of energy, industry, agriculture, non-ferrous metals, tourism and other areas of mutual interest.
At the same time, it was discussed that, taking into account the industrial and commercial potential of Malaysia and its geographical distance, the Republic of Tajikistan could be considered as a key point for trade development with the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of attracting trade and investment circles and organizing exhibitions of Malaysian products in the Republic of Tajikistan.
