On April 6, 2022, within the framework of working visit to the State of Penang His Excellency Ardasher Qodiri paid a courtesy call to the Chief Minister of the State of Penang His Excellency Chow Kon Yeow.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations, prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries, as well as establishing cooperation for the exchange of experience in different fields. It was noted that cooperation in the field of trade, investment, agriculture and industrialization are priority areas of cooperation for the both sides.

At the same time, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing direct cooperation between the cities of Kulab and Georgetown.

Both parties expressed their willingness to develop cooperation for mutual benefit and stressed the importance of joint efforts for strengthening collaboration in the future.
